I am eighteen years old, and I live with my sister Constance. Anyway, last night Joel and I went for a walk after dark, and I couldn't stop repeating to myself, in that high, mock-innocent tone, We have always lived in the castle, Bekah. A couple or so years ago it seemed that everyone was reading this novel, which for me is often a good reason not to, and I didn't. Shirley Jackson is one of the best "horror" writers ever and We Have Always Lived in the Castle (1962) is one of the best covers ever (thanks to artist William Teason).
